Data Engineer

At Trice, our mission is to create a lasting, positive impact. By challenging conventional thinking and using our combined expertise across business, technology and leadership, our goal is to make our clients become the role models of tomorrow, in their own field. We are a small and dynamic consulting company founded by experienced hands-on leaders from some of Europe’s most innovative and thriving tech companies.

We are now seeing increased demand for data engineering skills in several projects and are therefore aiming to add more curious problem-solvers in that domain!

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own data pipelines and data platform capabilities in cloud environments to produce validated, high quality data products for our customers, prepared to be used in both human and AI workflows.

  • Build an understanding of the data you are working with, perform data analytics that provide illustrative examples and highlight insights to customers.

  • Drive technical excellence by continuously staying up to date with modern data engineering practices and technologies.

  • Work with PMs, engineers and architects to continuously evolve and improve underlying solutions.

Who you are

In this role we are looking for people who want to combine relevant data to provide insights and tell stories. You focus on customer value without losing sight of data- and engineering quality. As a person you like to collaborate with your team to find pragmatic solutions to the problems you face. To be successful in this role we think you have:

  • Worked 3+ years in data engineering and data analytics, showing a focus on providing the users timely, relevant data in a secure way.

  • Experience from working with modern data platforms, i.e. data warehouses, data meshes or similar, in cloud environments.

  • Good understanding of data pipelines including batch- and stream processing of data.

  • Delivery focus with an understanding of prioritization and getting the high value items done first.

  • Knowledge of data classification and access control using roles and other methods.

  • Ability to work with AI assisted tooling, such as Cursor, Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, where it makes sense; reviewing output quality and fit for purpose.

  • Experience across multiple cloud environments (AWS, GCP and Azure) is a plus as well as having built data products using tools like Snowflake, Databricks and dbt.
